RETURN TO SCHOOL DATES
- 3rd – 6th class will return to school on Thursday, 29th August
- Senior Infants – 2nd class will return to school on Friday, 30th August
- Junior Infant parents have been contacted with a return day/date for a phased introduction to primary school on either Thursday 29th August or Friday 30th August
- Little Stars pupils will return to school on Monday, 2nd September
CHANGE TO SCHOOL TIMES
- A reminder that there is a change to the start and finish time for Culleens NS
- The gates will be opened at 9am
- Supervision is provided from 9am – 9.10am
- The school day begins at 9.10am
- School finishes for Junior and Senior Infants at 1.50pm
- School finishes for 1st – 6th Class at 2.50pm
MORNING DROP-OFF
- There is one-way traffic system with pull in spaces to drop off your children.
- The gates will open for parents and children at 9am.
- For children dropped off on the right hand side there is a pedestrian crossing which they must use.
- Gates will be closed to traffic at 10.30am and will remain closed during the school day in the interest of safety as this area will be needed for play.
- Parents collecting children during the school day and other visitors to the school, can use the pedestrian gate.
AFTERNOON PICK-UP
- For safety reasons, parents are asked to wait until the buses have left before entering the school grounds via the pedestrian gates
- Children will be accompanied out of the school building by their teacher
- Please note, for safety reasons, children will not be permitted to leave their teacher, until the buses have left.
- Thank you all for your co-operation and patience with these procedures.
***The school is in a residential area so we kindly ask that you are mindful of parking on footpaths and entrances to people’s property***
UNIFORMS:
- We kindly request that all children wear the new school tracksuit from the beginning of the 2024/25 school year
- We are aware that there is a shortage in some sizes of the tracksuit bottoms so plain navy tracksuit bottoms can be worn until official bottoms are back in stock.
MORNING CLUB/AFTER SCHOOL SERVICE:
- We are delighted to have Joanna’s Pre-School and After-School service operating in Culleens NS for the 2024/25 school year.
- This service will begin on Thursday, 29th August
SCHOOL PITCH:
- We are committed to ensuring our children will have access to top class sporting facilities and are excited to announce that preliminary work has
begun on the development of our school pitch.
- With a view to developing an astro-turf pitch on the school grounds, we hope to begin fundraising initiatives in the coming months.
