First Student Council - October 2023
In October 2023 Culleens National School elected their very first Student School Council. The purpose of the School Council is to act as representatives in their school to discuss issues with the Principal and Staff. It is an excellent way to represent Pupil Voice in our school. Currently, we have representatives from 3rd - 6th Class who were voted in by their peers.
In December 2023 they were instrumental in co-ordinating the Shoeboxes for the Hope Shoebox Appeal and more recently, they have been distributing a suggestion box to each class in order to gather ideas on how we can improve our school for the coming year. With the imminent move to our new school, the Student Council are very excited to continue their work with pupils and staff and we hope to extend our representatives to the younger classes too.
